Domain Name Grabber

1.0.5 for
Mac

Widget checks for domain name availability and more.

Domain Name Grabber is a Dashboard widget that helps you search and register Internet domain names. Some features being considered for future versions of Domain Name Grabber are:

  • a WHOIS lookup feature to see who owns the domain you want and when it's due to expire
  • the ability to see search results in a widget drop-down drawer
  • and advanced brainstorming options to find more domain name variations.

If you have another great idea or suggestion, we'd love to hear it! Just leave your idea in a comment below. Also, please take a second to make yourself heard using the poll on the right -- thanks!

Note: You can set your Dashboard to activate by moving your mouse cursor into any corner of your screen within the System Preferences under Personal > Dashboard & Expos?.

Release Notes Version 1.0.5:
  • Version 1.0.5 fixes an issue with the update notification logic and a problem with the backside promo not displaying when using the latest release.
Version 1.0.4:
  • Version 1.0.4 now supports searches on 43 different Top Level and Country Code domains. The new additions are .me (tons of great names available) and .asia (also with a lot of opportunity).
  • This version also introduces new version notifications, letting you know when an update is available. To check for new versions manually, simply reload the widget by clicking it, then pressing Command + R on your keyboard.
