This major update focuses on reading review, content organization, and data reliability. It adds the Activity Calendar, trend charts, notes source grouping, and wildcard search; significantly upgrades Duplicate Filter Mode, local dictionary performance, and Reading Mode; and improves cloud sync and multi-dictionary live lookup reliability.
New Features - Activity Calendar and Trends: Database Mode now includes an activity calendar for Highlights and Vocabulary. View heatmaps and trends by day, month, or year, see daily and monthly averages, and filter the current list by date. - Highlight & Note Source Grouping: Database Mode and Reading Mode can group content by Kindle, WeRead, and “Notes.” Books with the same title can be managed separately by source. - Reading Mode Enhancements: Added heatmap date filtering, book cover display and management, Expand/Collapse, and Auto Collapse. Improved the Article List View, sorting, grouping, and action menus. - Wildcard Search: Content Search now offers an optional wildcard mode. Use ? for one character, # for one word, and * for any characters to find highlights and vocabulary more flexibly.
Optimizations & Improvements - Upgraded Duplicate Filter Mode: More accurately distinguishes duplicate and suspected duplicate items, with better detection of Kindle Scribe autosaves, highlight range changes, and duplicates imported across devices. Results are grouped, with only high-confidence duplicates selected by default for safer batch cleanup. - Added persistent indexes and cache reuse for MDict, MOBI, and StarDict dictionaries, reducing repeated loading and speeding up subsequent lookups. - Improved multi-dictionary live lookup and management: Faster local and online lookups, a refined dictionary picker and ordering, plus updated default models and prompt variables for AI dictionaries. - Improved Dictionary Management with filtering, Open Dictionary Location, and Clear Cache, plus better handling of enabled states, duplicate additions, and file authorization. - Improved tag management and multilingual sorting: Matching tags are highlighted during search, tag counts, filtered lists, and details update immediately. - The Activity Calendar sidebar can now be resized horizontally and vertically, with improved heatmap colors, adjacent-month dates, Dark Mode, and responsive layouts. - Added “Confirm before deleting list items” to control deletion confirmation for Highlights and Vocabulary. - Refined the interface and icon layouts, with a redesigned welcome screen and clearer quick-start guidance.
Fixes - Fixed Reading Mode notes appearing saved without being written to the database, being overwritten by older content, saved more than once, or lost when leaving Reading Mode. - Fixed saving failures and overflow involving long text, links, and code, plus lost line breaks and incorrect cursor positioning in Markdown editing. - Fixed deleted content reappearing while iCloud sync was enabled, and improved prompts and handling for clearing synced data. - Fixed occasional multi-dictionary lookup freezes and issues with some MDict, MOBI, and PRC dictionaries, including loading failures, resource display errors, and style conflicts. - Fixed incomplete scrolling after zooming in the Parallel vocabulary layout and scrolling issues in the dictionary picker. - Fixed incorrect source identification for some Kindle imports and inconsistent grouping across importing, syncing, and Reading Mode. - Fixed delayed updates to tag counts, filtered lists, and detail selection after adding or removing tags. - Fixed other known issues and improved overall performance and stability.
