Product context
Official or maker-supplied product information. It is kept separate from buyer evidence and independent purchase verification.
If you make video essays, documentaries, or voiceover-driven YouTube videos, you know the grind. You record the narration, gather dozens of images and clips, then spend hours dragging each one onto the timeline and trimming it to match what's being said.
MatchCut FCP does that part for you.
Drop in your narration audio. MatchCut transcribes it on your Mac, breaks the script into caption blocks, and matches each block to the next file in your media folder. It then exports a Final Cut Pro XML sequence with every visual locked to the exact start and end of its line. Import it into Final Cut Pro and you're ready to edit.
In the demo, 60 caption blocks were matched to 60 visual assets and exported in about 45 seconds.
Transcription runs locally on your Mac, so your audio is never uploaded. An internet connection is only needed once, to download the speech model. You can skip even that by supplying a local model file.
MatchCut FCP is in beta, with early access pricing of $19.
