SnapState

SnapState

SnapState is a native Mac menu bar app that saves your workspace and puts windows, apps, and open browser tabs back after sleep, lid close, or a monitor reconnect. It restores automatically on wake and display changes.

When a MacBook docks, undocks, sleeps, or a slow monitor wakes late, macOS often piles every window onto one screen. SnapState saves window positions, open apps, display layout, and open tabs in Safari, Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and other Chromium browsers, then restores them when displays change or the Mac wakes.
