Product context

What PulseDev says it does

Official or maker-supplied product information. It is kept separate from buyer evidence and independent purchase verification.

PulseDev is a desktop app for macOS that connects your running website to the AI coding agent you already use. Instead of pasting screenshots or describing which button you mean, you point at the element itself.

How it works:

  1. Point: turn on Inspect and hover your page. PulseDev outlines each element with its selector and size. Shift-click to add more elements, or drag to select an area.
  2. Describe: write the change in plain words next to the element. The selector, page, viewport, computed styles, a screenshot of the element, recent console errors and failed network requests go along with it.
  3. Approve: your agent edits the real source and the change shows up live. Read the diff in the widget, then Approve to write it to your files, Reject to roll it back, or reply to iterate.

Features:

  • Works with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and OpenCode, using the agent login and plan you already have. No API keys to paste.
  • Nothing is written to your files until you approve the diff.
  • Live agent log beside the page: every read, edit and command, streamed as it runs. Stop it mid-run or reply to steer it.
  • A queue of fixes: pins on the page, a task list and a board (queued, running, in review, done), per page or across the site.
  • One desktop app for every site: each project gets its own local server, port and agent, started and stopped from the sidebar.
  • One script tag or the Vite plugin, added for you by "Set up project". Setup guides for Vue, Nuxt, React, Next.js, Astro, SvelteKit, Remix, Solid, Laravel, Hugo, Jekyll, Eleventy and plain HTML.
  • "Connect editor (MCP)" writes the MCP config for Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code, so your editor can list, read and close annotations.
  • Codex, Gemini and OpenCode ask before editing files or running commands; allow or reject each request from the widget.
  • Runs locally: tasks, messages and diffs stay in ~/PulseDev on your Mac. No cloud account. The app has no telemetry, usage analytics or crash reporting.
  • Load the script in development only. Production never sees it.

Requires macOS 13 Ventura or later, Apple silicon or Intel, and a coding agent CLI you are signed in to.
